The academic systems at JSVM Varthur have three stages: Pre School (Nursery, Jr. KG and Sr. KG), Junior School (Grades 1 to 4), and Middle School (Grades 5 to 8) The teaching at JSVM Varthur is student-centric, project-based, and incorporates the embedded learning concept. Learning is not confined to textbooks and classrooms. Students are exposed to hands-on experiences and stimulating environments to enhance their understanding of concepts. While every student follows the general curriculum, he or she can also develop talents and interests in personal areas of academic interest, and in sport, theatre, music and dance, for which facilities are outstanding.

Frequent instruction that we give to our students does not remain just as an instruction. The students are given ample opportunities to get hands on experience. We offer a State Board curriculum, so that students from Kg to Grade- X get an enriching learning experience and our classrooms are interestingly alive. The school’s model curriculum balances effective psychomotor and intellectual domains of learning, supported by a strong faculty at its center. A highly diverse student and staff population represent a rich spectrum of cultures and are central to the school. We adopt the most modern methods of instruction and lay equal emphasis on the traditional system of learning that focuses the overall development of the children. JSVM Varthur allows teachers and students to be in harmony, enabling or self-learning, and focus with a medium for constant interaction with each other. Our teachers have been trained to act as facilitators to help young people develop responsibility, self-confidence and self-discipline and commit themselves to their family and community
